Delete your account
Two ways to delete
You can delete your Kado account yourself in the app, or — if you can no longer sign in — by emailing us. Both routes delete the same data.
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore your contacts afterwards.
1. Before you delete
- Cancel your subscription first, if you have one. Deleting your Kado account does not cancel an Apple subscription — Apple manages that separately, and an auto-renewing subscription keeps billing you. Cancel it in your Apple account settings before deleting.
- Export anything you want to keep. You can download an individual contact as a vCard file from the contact's screen. Do this first — after deletion nothing can be recovered.
- Transfer or delete any team group you own. If your account owns or is billed for a group, deletion is blocked until that is resolved, and the app will tell you so.
2. Delete in the app
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete permanently.
Deletion runs immediately and you are signed out. You do not need to contact us.
3. What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in association (Apple, Google, or LINE).
- All contacts you saved — names, companies, titles, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, and every tag, stage, follow-up date, and note attached to them.
- The business-card photos you scanned, removed from our file storage.
- Your app settings, scan history, and subscription status record.
- Any share links you created — they stop resolving.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Google Calendar credentials, at most 30 days — usually far less. If you had connected Google Calendar, an encrypted copy of the sync credential survives your deletion for a short time solely so we can finish removing our notification channels and revoke our own access to your calendar. It is then purged. You can also revoke Kado's access immediately in your Google Account security settings.
- Contacts stored in on-device mode stay in your own iCloud. In that mode your contacts never reach our servers, so deleting your account does not remove them. Delete them from the app before deleting your account, or manage them through your Apple account.
- Records we are required to keep. Where law requires us to retain limited records (for example, transaction records related to a purchase), we keep only what is required, for only as long as required.
5. If you cannot sign in
Email support@rippo.app from the address associated with your account and tell us you want it deleted. Include:
- The sign-in method you used — Apple, Google, or LINE.
- The email address on the account, if it differs from the one you are writing from.
Open a pre-filled deletion request
We verify that a request genuinely comes from the account holder before deleting anything — otherwise this page would be a way to delete someone else's account. If we cannot verify it, we will tell you what else we need. We complete verified requests within 30 days, normally much sooner.
